What the Dynamic Edge Accomplishes:
The Dynamic Edge is a versatile rehabilitation tool that simulates the range of motion and balance required in many sports while providing an excellent modality for dynamic balance and functional rehabilitation. Because the Dynamic Edge accurately reproduces the lateral movements required in most sports, it optimizes rehabilitation and helps prevent injury.

Optimizes Rehabilitation &

The Dynamic Edge affords the therapist/trainer unique opportunities to implement new techniques for truly physiological stretch routines, for strengthening the torso and the lower extremities, for improving coordination, and for attaining and maintaining peak aerobic conditioning.

Correction of Muscle Imbalance
Therapists/trainers are confronted by muscle imbalances associated with pathology of the foot/ankle, knee, hip, and trunk. The Dynamic Edge is a wonderful tool for correcting muscle imbalances of the lower kinetic chain and trunk. It is one of the very few devices that restores function in a three dimensional manner.

Core Stabilization
The Dynamic Edge also includes, in the RPM Total package, resistance cords for core muscle strengthening. A weighted vest that has been designed to increase intensity while performing core stabilization exercises on the Dynamic Edge.

Balance Training
The Dynamic Edge provides lateral movements in a CKC position similar to a slide board. The footpads act as individual tilt boards for proprioceptive training promoting balance and coordination.

Range of Motion
The Dynamic Edge allows the therapist/trainer to focus on improving range of motion in the torso, lumbo-sacral spine, and the lower extremities throughout the full physiologic extent. Each leg can be trained individually, or both can be trained simultaneously.

Aerobic and Anaerobic Conditioning
The Dynamic Edge is the only true lateral exercise machine in the world that burns up to 1,124 calories per hour. It is an excellent device for building aerobic and anaerobic capacity.

Closed-Chain Training
The Dynamic Edge optimizes closed-chain training of the lower extremities through eccentric quadricep exercises. This training conditions the lower extremities to absorb shock and to dissipate forces acting upon the knee.
Plyometrics
The Dynamic Edge provides a quick stretch at the end of the lateral movements which facilitates a forceful contraction to the opposite direction.
Cyclic Loading
Training with the Dynamic Edge leads to controlled cyclic loading of the knee. Controlled cyclic loading has been associated with increasing chondrocytic activity, which leads, in turn, to maintenance of the articular surfaces of the joint.

Strength Exercise
The explosive resistance training provided by the Dynamic Edge simulates the powerful leg and foot movements needed during lateral sports specific activities.

Safe Progressive Training
The Dynamic Edge affords gradual, progressive training of the lower extremities through stepwise control of resistance and range of motion.

Perturbation Training
The Dynamic Edge provides for safe and effective perturbation training in a variety of applications.

ACL Rehab
While developing lateral strength, the non-impact movements of the Dynamic Edge allows the knee and lower leg to move freely and safely throughout the flexion and extension range of motion - making it the ideal choice for ACL rehab.

Hip Rehab & Ankle Stabilization
The 2 Assistant Coach balance bars found on the Dynamic Edge RPM Total allow therapists/trainers to create progressive resistance to the knee, hip and pelvic core musculature at multiple heights and angles through the use of resistance cords.
