Plyometrics are intended to bring the athlete
to a higher level of performance. Plyometric
exercises are indicated for sport-specific
training in the advanced stages of a rehabilitation
program when protection of joint and tendinous/ligamentous
structures have been established. When incorporating
plyometric training in a program, the primary
concern is strength in the stabilizing muscles
in order to prevent injury. Due to the non-impact
and closed-kinetic chain position, plyometric
exercises can be initiated on the Dynamic
Edge World Cup Plyometric Power at a much
earlier stage than traditional plyometrics
which incorporate high-intensity jumping,
hopping, and bounding, etc..
