The World Cup Plyometric Power™

The only non-impact plyometric training machine available today!

The World Cup Plyometric Power machine was designed for the athlete to integrate maximal power output training, with non-impact plyometrics, resulting in rapid increases of lateral strength. The Plyometric Power delivers rapid stretching and pre-loading of the muscles (eccentric) followed by a concentric contraction with a short amortization period. The plyometric movement becomes most effective and powerful with a short amortization period, which is the conversion from negative (eccentric) to positive (concentric) work. The significant results of plyometric training are: stimulating the proprioceptors which relay sensory input to activate the stretch reflex as well as presetting muscle tension, and tension force loading the serial elastic components which allows for quick rebound.

The Dynamic Edge World Cup Plyometric Power is a radically
different design from the standard Dynamic Edge:

 

Competition Frame
The competition frame is significantly taller than the standard Dynamic Edge frame and thereby creates and demands increased leg extension/retraction.

 

Steeper Rail Angle
Much steeper rail angle provides a more explosive plyometric action.

 

3rd Progressive Resistance
3rd adjustable power band added for even more intense resistance.
 
The Dynamic Edge World Cup Plyometric Power Includes:
 
1) Two Tilt Board Angulating Footpads
The Dynamic Edge accomplishes balance and coordination training by using individual tilt boards to stand on while performing side-to-side sliding movements. The 2 independent-action footpads allow medial/lateral tilting.
 
2) Slide Board Aluminum Slide Plate
The aluminum slide plate that allows the 2 independent-action footpads to be adjusted quickly into 8 stance positions. This also offers the trainer the ability to change to the Upper Body Edge
 
 
3) Quick Change Progressive Resistance
Quick release pins for immediate changing of resistance to any different levels to accommodate all ages and abilities
 
4) Poles for Balance and Coordination
Poles provide a natural progression for developing balance and coordination. Ergonomic grips for comfort. Made of light-weight aircraft aluminum. Non-marking rubber tips to protect floors.
 
 
The Dynamic Edge Plyometric Training

Plyometrics are intended to bring the athlete to a higher level of performance. Plyometric exercises are indicated for sport-specific training in the advanced stages of a rehabilitation program when protection of joint and tendinous/ligamentous structures have been established. When incorporating plyometric training in a program, the primary concern is strength in the stabilizing muscles in order to prevent injury. Due to the non-impact and closed-kinetic chain position, plyometric exercises can be initiated on the Dynamic Edge World Cup Plyometric Power at a much earlier stage than traditional plyometrics which incorporate high-intensity jumping, hopping, and bounding, etc..
