The
Dynamic Edge® RPM PLUS The Dynamic Edge RPM Plus incorporates
the same principles of balance boards, wobble
boards, lateral hopping (plyometrics), as well
as concentric and eccentric resistance exercises
to the quadriceps and hamstrings as found on
the Dynamic Edge RPM. Plus, this machine includes
the Upper Body Edge which allows for more advanced
core muscle strengthening and shoulder stabilization
exercises.
The
Dynamic Edge RPM Plus adjusts quickly from the Angulating
Footpads to the Upper Body Edge.
Its as easy as

Dynamic
Edge RPM Plus includes:
1)
The Upper Body Edge
The Upper Body Edge allows the therapist/trainer to
accomplish a number of exercises including shoulder
strengthening & stabilization as well as alternate
core muscle conditioning activities. The dual hand
positions can be adjusted quickly into 7 different
width positions. Plus, the inner handles will allow
the therapist to spot/control patients upper body
movements
2)
2 Tilt Board Angulating Footpads
The Dynamic Edge accomplishes balance and coordination
training by using individual tilt boards to stand
on while performing side-to-side sliding movements.
The 2 independent-action footpads allow medial/lateral
tilting.
3)
Slide Board Aluminum Slide Plate
Aluminum slide plate that allows the 2 independent-action
footpads to be adjusted quickly into 8 stance positions.
This also offers the trainer the ability to change
to the Upper Body Edge.
4)
Assistant Coach Balance Bar
The Assistant Coach Balance Bar is provided for balance
throughout varying stages of rehab. It also provides
the option of variable locations for resistance cords.
5)
13 Quick Change Progressive Resistance
Quick release pins for immediate changing of resistance
to any one of 13 different levels to accommodate all
ages and abilities.
6)
Poles for Balance and Coordination Poles provide a natural progression
for developing balance and coordination. Ergonomic
grips for comfort. Made of light-weight aircraft aluminum.
Non-marking rubber tips protect floors.
The
Dynamic Edge provides neuromuscular training, which
could be defined as training that enhances unconscious
motor responses by stimulating both afferent signals
and proprioceptive skills responsible for dynamic
joint and muscle control. After an injury (knee, ankle,
back and shoulder), the objective of neuromuscular
training with the Dynamic Edge is to improve the nervous
systems ability to generate a fast and optimal
muscle firing pattern, to increase dynamic joint stability,
to decrease joint forces and to relearn movement patterns
and skills. Obviously, the objective is to achieve
a state of readiness for muscles to respond
to joint forces resulting in enhanced motor control.
